We are not really grumpy!  We just allow men only to join our group.

We are a thriving male group which has detailed aims and format.  We meet monthly in a local pub, The Ship, and do whatever takes our fancy over a pint or two.  Discussion and learning are our prime aims.  We also encourage each member, in turn, to organise a visit to a local place of interest.  This visit normally takes place on the 2nd Friday but could be different depending on availability of the venue or event.

Evidence of some of our trips:

The Old Ship Inn where the Grumpies meet every month to put the world to rights and to debate the meaningful issues of the day.

It is conveniently located alongside the river in Nene Parade less than a stone's throw from the bridge at the end of Broad Street and where the locals know that, weather permitting, the road in front of the Inn is a convenient drinking and smoking area. There is also a car park at the rear of the Inn.
